Yeah, I do think the reveal was too sudden and unexplored. However, it was meaningful how Arthur managed too quickly see past Merlin's deception and see the selfless person he truly was. In the whole episode you can see Arthur look at Merlin in a different way- Compassion, admiration, disbelief at how selfless Merlin is etc.
However, it would have been nice if Merlin had told Arthur how it was him who sent the blue orb to protect him and the whole dropping his trousers malarkey. I think with Arthur knowing and accepting magic they could have had fun together with it.
But, still, Yeah I miss not seeing the actual epic team of magic Merlin fighting badass alongside his king, both knowing everything about each other. Even one episode of that would have made me happy >_<
I agree with you. It all happened too fast. I think they could had explored a little more the repercussion of Merlin revealing him self... Like make Arthur discover it before the fight or something like that, so they could show the reactions of the others too... ><
And you're right about the other characters too, they should know who saved their sorry ass in almost each episode...
But still, at least our frustration led to a seriously huge amount of fan fiction to keep us company...XD
Plus, have you heard? Colin Morgan is playing at the Globe Theater this year! (I really want to go *_*)
